Area.<\/p>\n<p>In afternoon there are many air flights. Both sides patrol their own lines, then dart forward when opportunity offers &amp; do battle.\u00a0 Enemy has much faster machines than ours.\u00a0 One of our battle \u2018planes go over his lines decoyed by an enemy \u2018plane painted red.\u00a0 He is set upon by 3 others &amp; forced to descend.\u00a0 His machine bursts into flames 500 feet up &amp; lands in German line N. of Vimy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0\u2013 fine, cold PPCLI make a raid @ 5 am.
