Walking Tours with The Shipyard Pals

Join us this summer for free walking tours with our costumed, theatrical players. Enjoy The Shipyards and learn about its place in World War 2 history as a major shipbuilding yard. Stories, songs and learning all rolled into one! Read more about Shipyard Pals.

Discovery Session: Shipyards

Explore shipbuilding on the North Shore and guess the mystery artifacts.

Campfire Capers: Marvellous Marbled Murrelet

Campfire Capers is a fun, 30-minute preschool program. We’ll learn about Marbled Murrelets through songs, stories, games and looking at a special museum object.

Audience: Children ages 3 to 5 and their caregivers.
Time: 11:30am


Gallery Tour

Join us for a guided tour of the Museum’s core exhibit gallery.

This past spring, Capilano University students were invited to create editorial content inspired by MONOVA’s Archival and Museum collections through a partnership with CityStudio North Vancouver.

VENUE RENTAL AT MONOVA

Located in the heart of The Shipyards in North Vancouver, the Museum of North Vancouver introduces a brand new, dynamic and innovative space to the North Shore.

With over 2,000 sq.ft. of meeting and event space available, Monova is ideal for hosting social celebrations, corporate meetings, weddings, and gala events. Modern styling and versatile design allows for large, flexible rooms with lots of natural light.

A short, 15 minute Seabus ride from downtown Vancouver, Monova provides venue rental opportunities for the Greater Vancouver area.

As a non-profit institution, venue rental revenue directly funds the Museum’s exhibits and programs.
