Welcome to the launch of THE INLET – a virtual hub for NVMA staff, supporters and our community to tell stories, share ideas and stay in touch. Like everyone around the globe, we are facing challenging times. Now, more than ever, cultural heritage organizations are providing audiences with opportunities for discovery, research and reflection. Our visitors are no longer limited by opening hours, as our website is available 24/7. North Vancouver’s stories live here!
Here at the NVMA, our staff is busy creating meaningful cultural heritage experiences for our community.
Here’s a SNEAK PREVIEW of work-in-progress at the 3DS fabrication shop on Annacis Island, British Columbia. The artifacts and exhibit cases in these images will be part of the Passion for Place Gallery, which showcases our unique location & activities on the North Shore and the Connections Gallery, which showcases the breadth and depth of our North Vancouver neighbourhoods and communities.
We rely on contributions, monthly or one-time gifts, to help MONOVA safeguard and expand our community’s archival and museum collections, build learning experiences and inspire future generations.
Donations are accepted through the Friends of the North Vancouver Museum & Archives Society, Registered Charity No. 89031 1772 RR0001.

We respectfully acknowledge that MONOVA: Museum and Archives of North Vancouver is located on the traditional lands of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations, whose ancestors have lived here for countless generations. We are grateful for the opportunity to live, work and learn with them on unceded Coast Salish Territory.
