Holiday Dining on Grouse

Some adventurous outdoor-loving people decided to "get away from it all" – so they lit out from Vancouver for The Shack on Grouse Mountain to enjoy Christmas 1909 dinner: oyster soup, turkey, cranberry sauce, creamed potatoes and green peas followed by plum pudding with brandy sauce, mince pie and cakes. "Trimmings" consisted of tea, wines, cigar, and whiskey punch. "Bliss Yum Yum," indeed.
