Cooking at Altitude

Climbers often camp, and sometimes get cold, frozen, tired or wet. In those circumstances, it’s best to have a hot cup of tea or a warm meal to revive body and spirit. Svea stoves were first made in Sweden in the 1890s, and are designed for camping. They are light, small and collapsible; the compact tin slips easily into a pack. They are also reliable, durable, and burn well at high altitudes.
