Garibaldi's Park
Mountaineers, by nature, are committed to wilderness conservation. “The preservation of the beauties of British Columbia’s mountains through protective legislation” is an objective of the constitution of the British Columbia Mountaineering Club (BCMC), founded in 1907. Club members held their first summer camp in 1910, in an area of alpine meadows and streams set amidst glaciers and snow-capped peaks.
