Events Assistant
Do you enjoy workshops, lectures and meeting the public? Event volunteers help prepare for and present special events for adults, children, and families. Shifts are available on weekends and weekday afternoons.
Archives’ Assistant
Archives volunteers help to document our collections of photographs, maps, documents and other resources. Tasks include maintaining clipping files, data entry, scanning and research duties. If you enjoy learning about North Vancouver and working behind-the-scenes, this job is for you.
Oral History Program Transcriber
The oral history program exists to add emotional depth and human experience to the history of North Vancouver. These voices enrich the records that exist and fill in the gaps where records are lacking. We are looking for individuals to transcribe interviews and to help interview and record stories of how North Vancouver has changed or stayed the same and the variety of human experiences that make it unique.
School Program Docent

As a docent, you will share your enthusiasm and communication skills and will inspire students to explore and appreciate our community’s history. As the NVMA prepares for its new site on Esplanade, we have limited our school program bookings. Should you wish to assist with the occasional program and get a head start on future docent work at the new museum (in 2020), please let us know.
Interested in this work? Please let us know, by completing the Volunteer Enquiry Form on the right. Once received, a staff member will contact you to discuss the opportunities.
