Leave No Trace

It’s no secret. The slopes of Mount Everest resemble a veritable garbage dump after 3,000 people have scaled its summit. The problem is not simply a foreign one; beautiful British Columbia’s own Mount Garibaldi faces a litter epidemic too. Leave No Trace is an international educational and ethical program aimed at limiting people’s impact on the outdoors (www.leavenotrace.ca). The goal is to educate about the impacts of recreational activities, and how to decrease our footprint on natural playgrounds.
