Boating to the Lions

Before the 1960s, there was no highway along Howe Sound. Climbers arrived by boat. Large packs of gear and supplies are shown being carefully ferried from a ship to a beach camp below St. Mark’s summit and the Lions in the 1930s. Piles of gear already landed sit on the beach in the background.
