Munday’s Compass

Many early mountaineers, tempted by unclimbed peaks, were drawn to areas not defined on maps of the day. Without accurate maps, they found their way to the mountains and back often with little more than a simple compass. This particular compass belonged to famed mountaineer Phyllis Munday.
