Waddington by Launch
By the 1930s, most of the mountains near Vancouver had been climbed. Adventurous parties seeking new challenges set their sights on more distant peaks. This party of climbers chartered a launch in 1936 to transport themselves, and 545 kilos of supplies, up coast to Knight Inlet; from there they struck out, on foot, for Mount Waddington.
