An Alpine Garden

While rambling through the mountains during their annual summer camps in the early years, climbers were encouraged to locate alpine flora by Provincial Botanist John Davidson who was collecting specimens for Vancouver’s new botanical gardens. At a camp near Mount Garibaldi, these climbers are tending a garden of specimens. The live plants were packed for the trip home.
