Chained up for Grouse
The completion of the original Second Narrows bridge in 1925, and the construction of the Grouse Mountain Highway and Chalet in 1926 meant that people from Vancouver could drive to the north shore mountains for fun in the snow and to practice the new sport of skiing. The car pictured, with chained tires, was amongst the first vehicles to drive up the new highway to the Chalet in December 1926.
