Asulkan Valley Camp
The British Columbia Mountaineering Club’s 1921 annual camp provided a change of scene for Vancouver climbers. They travelled by Canadian Pacific Railway to Glacier Station, then headed to Rogers Pass. Pack horses transported everything when the camp moved for its second week to the Asulkan Valley, near Glacier House, to climb Mount Sir Donald and the Hermit Range. Four-month old Edith Munday, at left, accompanied her parents at the camp.
