We are happy to announce that the Archives has re-opened to researchers by appointment Monday to Thursday. Simply visit our new Archives Booking Calendar and select your day. We are currently offering 2-hr and 4-hr appointments.
We’ve developed procedures to ensure proper safety measures are being followed by Archives staff during the pandemic. We will continue to endeavour to answer all reference enquiries via email or by phone at 604-990-3700-8011 if possible.
We encourage the public to start their search for archival photos, maps and textural records online first via our Archives Online Database. For those researchers who require more extensive consultation of archival records on site, the Archives of North Vancouver is offering reference sessions by appointment via the Booking Calendar.
No drop-ins! At this current time, an appointment is required prior to entry into the Archives of North Vancouver.
All requests for an appointment will be responded to by our Archives staff. If your appointment is approved, an email will be sent that explains our safety protocols and procedures.
We look forward to seeing you soon and remember, North Vancouver’s stories live here!
We rely on contributions, monthly or one-time gifts, to help MONOVA safeguard and expand our community’s archival and museum collections, build learning experiences and inspire future generations.
Donations are accepted through the Friends of the North Vancouver Museum & Archives Society, Registered Charity No. 89031 1772 RR0001.

We respectfully acknowledge that MONOVA: Museum and Archives of North Vancouver is located on the traditional lands of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations, whose ancestors have lived here for countless generations. We are grateful for the opportunity to live, work and learn with them on unceded Coast Salish Territory.
