Went by cycle to Esker to visit W.H. Beresford Esq. a brother of Rev. E. Beresford of Hoby, Leicestershire. Had a Royal time. Lovely mansion all necessaries of life. Journey 16 miles one way.

Left on Monday @ 4:30 pm for Leicester. Went to Gaddesby & (17^th) searched Registers alone by permission of Rev. Quarrie. Stayed Leicester till Thursday after getting extension of two days. Left Leicester @ 5.30 pm for St. Pancras arr 7.34. 20 mins. Across London by Tube for Waterloo. Take 9.26 train for Camp.
