Biddy, Eileen & I go to Vancouver to see Peace celebrations. A large firework explodes near me and I collapse. Am carried into offices of Daily Province newspaper & later to a druggist store. Great celebration but too much noise for my nerves.
We leave for home at 5.30 pm.

Left Hospl. at 9.30 am.
Received engraving cuts of 2 sketches. They cost $44.50. Rather steep! But zinc is scarce they say, hence high price. Gave cuts to [painters] Evans & Seymour Stout.
Gave Francis Bursill my M.S.S. on “A Fortnight in the Trenches”.

Bought more lumber from J. M. Fromme. 1 x 6” sheathing, some 2 x 3 & a window frame.
Loaned Mr. S. T. Nursey some photos & curios for window display. He who did not go to war, but got married instead – to dodge it!

To Lynn Valley at 2 pm. Mr. & Mrs. Nye call.
Paid Mr. J. M. Fromme $69.39 for lumber. Return to Hospital at 11.30 pm.
