The Echoes of the Land
In support of National Indigenous History Month and on display at the Museum of North Vancouver from June 1, The Echoes of the Land celebrates various village sites the communities on these lands have called home since time immemorial. Featuring archival images hand-picked by MONOVA’s Indigenous Cultural Programmer, Jordan Dawson, here you can learn the traditional place names found within the display, spoken in the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh language.
Visit The Echoes of the Land at the Museum of North Vancouver until June 29.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We respectfully acknowledge that MONOVA: Museum & Archives of North Vancouver is located on the traditional lands of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations, whose ancestors have lived here for countless generations. We are grateful to live, work and learn with them on unceded Coast Salish Territory.
