First Recorded Ascent of Mount Seymour
Charles Chapman
Were you an adventurous type, and had arrived in Vancouver in the early 1900s, your interest would at once be drawn to the North Shore mountains. Charles "Chappy" Chapman soon became a stalwart among friends of similar ilk, exploring and photographing on expeditions to many mountains. A charter member of the British Columbia Mountaineering Club, founded in 1907, he was honorary president from 1952 until 1960. A mountain was later named in his honour.
