Fine and hot

Had lunch at Fetherstonhaugh’s & supper at Wagstaffes.

To Haswell’s and call for Mrs Graham at 10 am. Take car for Burnaby at 10:30. Arrive at Mrs Fetherstonhaugh’s at 12:15 noon. Introduced Mrs Graham to Mrs Fetherstonhaugh. Walked into garden, picked cherries in orchard. Had very pleasant times. Left family tree with Mrs Fetherstonhaugh. To visit Wagstaffe’s at 4 pm. Very nice reception. Stayed till 7:30 pm then to New Westminster with the family. Took train for home at 10:10 and arrive home at 12:15 midnight. Took photos at [Fr & Wagstaff]

Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his wife Sophia, Duchess of Hohenberg are assassinated.


*Archduke Franz Ferdinand –Archduke of Austria and prince of Hungary. His assassination helped lead Austria-Hungary to declare war on Serbia, this was a major catalyst for the beginning of WWI.
