Had interesting chat with Emily and Lily.
Left Seagrave at 11:10 and caught 11:42 for Leicester.

To library at Leicester from 12:30 till 6:45.
To market and saw Harry Draycot: Had tea together. For Seagrave at 9:20, arrive at 10:15pm.
Letter from Paymaster, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry arrives and £5 enclosed

Wednesday 17 February 1915 – Rain (Ash Wednesday)

Annie brings up a cup of tea and morning paper.
Introduced to Miss Whites. Anne, Milly, Miss Whites and self go to theatre at night.
Tides are high. The river Avon has risen 7 feet in height.
My Aunt is no better.
Lieutenant Price and Captain Fitzgerald of Princess Pats are killed.
