Left Stafford in evening for Liverpool and arrived at 8:30 pm. Took my bike also. Had tea with Professor and Miss Bradbury of William Salt Archaeological Society Library.
Had tea in Stafford with Edith (Mrs C.V Green).

To St Mary’s Church Stafford in morning. In evening for a walk with Cyril and Edith among the May blossoms and fields.
Wrote letters to Matthew Pearson, Ernest Draycot of Gosport.
Saturday 5 June 1915 – a gale blowing
All morning looking thro’ the Registers and found interesting items regarding Draycot family. Left Heanor after looking in at [loses?]. At 12:30 for Stafford via Derby, Burton and Abbots Bromley. Called on Henry Draycot of Derby and had tea. Also called at Infirmary to see Mrs Smith. Called at Rectory at Abbots Bromley and gave wonderful Brass to John Draycot A.D. [1444]. Had tea at Newboro and arrive at Stafford at 10 pm. Called at Mrs Smith and home at 11:30 pm. Luckily Cyril and Edith not in bed.
Friday 4 June 1915 – fine
At 10:30 I leave for Heanor via Uttoxeter and Derby, and Ilkeston and arrive in Heanor at 4:30 pm. I use my ordinary cycle and travelled 56 miles in the day. Had tea at Rectory with Reverend and Mrs Corfield. I look thro Part of Registers with Mrs Crookes the Verger. Slept at Market Arms.

Met Mr Banks Senior and walked with him to [Leamens]. He invites me to tea. His son is ill in bed.
To tea and supper at Banks. Show interesting views of Canada
Wednesday 2 June 1915 – fine
In morning to Dr. Miller and saw Nurse Smith. Got some more tonic. Went to Stafford Infirmary and saw wounded Canadians, two of “Princess Pats”.
Heavy casualty list of Princess Patricias Canadian Light Infantry 112 dead and over 100 wounded. To Sandon Church and Vicarage. Entertained by Reverend Victor A. Sauerlander who is a German with an English wife the latter’s bro’

Arrive at Stafford midnight 12:30. Cyril was sitting up for me. Cycling around during day. Meet Mr Banks and Miss Graham at night. Played cards with Cyril and Ede until 11 pm

To Barrow on Soar Church. A feast of Holy Trinity is being held. Church full. Boys Church Brigade and National Reserve. Back in Seagrave at 1 pm. At 2:30 to Sileby and see Joe Draycot and family. After tea to Primitive Methodist Church at Sileby with Joe. Back to Seagrave at 9 pm.

Intended going to Liverpool but cancelled it.
To Loughboro in afternoon with Maud, May, and Gert. Bought gloves for all and present for Joe Draycot. Had tea at a restaurant. Cycled back to Seagrave and arrived at 8:30 pm
