Said good bye to S.G Upton and Miss Sexton.
Took photos of 4 generations at Simcock’s Residence.
Left Lime Street Station at 5:25 for Stafford. Harry and Mr MacDermott saw me off. Arrive at Stafford at 7 pm. Had tea with Edith. To Dr Miller and Nurse Smith and had chat. Cyril, Edith and self have walk in evening.

Private Blees 712 Princess Patricias Canadian Light Infantry is killed at front.
Said good byes to Creigs and Uptons.

Went for cycle run with Harry to Gateacre and Huyton.
Farmers praying for rain. Our casualty list at the War totals an average of 1500 each day.
Russians are retiring all along the front – short of shells
Monday 14 June 1915 – fine
To Alder Hey and Mill Road Hospitals and took paper to Canadians.
To Liverpool on bikes. Had narrow escape from Death. Bike skidded in front of a street car. Only a few bruises. To S.G Upton’s in evening and played cards until 11:30. Left for home at 12 midnight. Harry sits up.
Sent $5.00 to Reverend N.J Thompson for church funds.

To my 3rd Congregational Church in morning at Creigs.
To S.G. Upton’s in afternoon and evening. Took their photos and developed them at night.
Saturday 12 June 1915 – fine
To Creig’s in morning and Alder Hey Hospital in afternoon. Took photographs there.
Friday 11 June 1915
Went for spin on bike around Huyton, Roby and Gateacre with Harry. Back home at 4:30 pm.
Went down to City on bike for film etc. Met Private Burns of Princess Pats.

To Creig’s and Upton’s in afternoon.
Wednesday 9 June 1915 – fine
In afternoon to the Quarrie at Black Horse Lane and took photos and played games with the Simcock family and Miss Gladys – also Harry and wife and child.
Tuesday 8 June 1915
On to Liverpool.
Went down town with Harry and made purchases.
Lloyd’s garage burns down and £2,000 loss. No insurance! (Lloyd’s of Stafford)
