Get leave to go home to Lynn Valley. Biddy, Eileen & self with Mr. Crossky go to Rice Lake in afternoon & return @ 6 pm. Rough journey thru swamps, over trails, then bush etc. Find some copper ore etc. We miss [cars] & arr. in Hospl. at 2 am in morning very tired.

Got leave to go home to Lynn Valley from noon till 12 […… .]. Left Hospl. @ 9.30 am. Met Biddy in Vancouver & did shopping. To Lynn Valley @ 3 pm. Mrs. Haswell calls @ 4 pm. Return to Hospl. @ 12 midnight.

Biddy goes to Esdaile’’ s to do work for Red Cross Society. Mrs. Pinnell is there. Eileen & I go to town. Visit MO Quint & {…… .] Quint who give us invitation for supper as they have a party. We stay till 9 pm & leave in auto for ferry. Arr. home 11 pm.

Mrs. Smith & Eileen & I go to see Mrs. Esdaile on invitation. Stay for evening tea.

Mrs. B. Smith & Eileen come to live at my home in Lynn Valley. We visit Mrs. Haswell’’ s in afternoon & have tea. To Neate’’ s in evening with Eileen. Stay till 11 pm.

Biddy is busy shopping in Vancouver with Eileen. To Pinnell’’ s to see re furniture. The “” cat”” (Mrs. Pinnell) refuses to resell to me. Damn her unpatriotic soul.
I go to Mrs. Esdaile’’ s home & with her to Hermon’’ s to play whist. I win 1st prize. Party breaks up @ midnight. I escort Mrs. Bogue home.

Busy putting up a verandah on house. To Haswell’’ s in evening & bring away an easy chair & some mats which she resold to me, she having bought them from Mrs. Graham.
