Charles & John Neat go to Dry dock for employment. Write letters to Mrs. Graham. Mr Sheills is back from Calgary.
To St Clement’s in morning and evening 1st alone 2nd with John Neat.
To Neat’s for Dinner and supper. Presented to them – a new Union Jack for use on their flagpole. Introduced to Mr & Mrs Shellshear at Neats. In evening after Church – to town. Met Mr Gus Berk – gave him letters to post for me. At 8:45 pm to Haswell’s with John Neat. Left fo’ home at 10:30 pm
To Whitecliff and Horseshoe Bay with Mr & Mrs John Dorothea & Frank Neat.
In swimming. John not able to swim dived into deep water and was sinking into for 2nd time when I saved him. My 4th act of life saving.
To Empire Theatre North Vancouver with the Neat family.

Worked all day on Keith Road School and laid off work in evening for good.
Charles is still out of work.
Great Britain, France, Germany, Russia are mobilising for war.
Working on Keith Road School. In evening pay Mr. H. Neill the sum of $20.00 regarding furniture.
Working on Keith Road School. To garden party in evening given by the Rev. N.J Thompson.

Mr. Little leaves for England.
To work on Keith Road School all day.
Feel the effects of mushroom poisoning yet. Mrs & Miss Wagstaffe of Burnaby pay a surprise visit. I entertain best possible way. Give them bouquet of flowers from the garden. They came at 6 pm & left at 7:30 pm. Miss Mabel sustains a severe injury to her left hand. I go to town with them & have supper. They leave for Burnaby at 9 pm. I arrive home at 11 pm
Finishing off the Verandah in morning. John Neats calls at 4 pm. I go to Church with John Neat in evening. Congregation are very reticent, cold & distant. An unsociable lot. At 9 pm to Neat’s Residence & stayed till 10:15 pm.
