Rockies' Robson

The Alpine Club of Canada organized a special summer camp in 1913, dedicated to the first ascent of Mount Robson in the Rockies. While famed guide Conrad Kain led a hand-picked team to Robson’s peak, other camp participants took on different challenges. Preston Tait, an avid photographer, captured this striking image of a climbing party gazing into an ice fall behind Rearguard Mountain.
